dime a dozen

Last night I interviewed a Special Forces trooper. When I started this book, I never even imagined that the story will lead me to sleepless nights researching take-down snipers and combat techniques, but it did.

One of the nicest men I ever met; you gotta have a soft spot for a highly trained patriot.
In any case, it turns out, my weapon of choice is the same as his. That got me quite a bit of street cred.

I'm still keeping schtum about the book. I just couldn't bear for someone to steal the idea, even if ideas are, as they say, a "dime a dozen".

I blame Nick's poetry for the bizarre twists of my creative mind. But still, I love them so.
